And Solomon determined to build an house for the name of the Lord, and an house for his kingdom.

Il enrôla 70000 hommes pour le transport, 80000 pour extraire les pierres de la montagne et 3600 contremaîtres.

And Solomon told out threescore and ten thousand men to bear burdens, and fourscore thousand to hew in the mountain, and three thousand and six hundred to oversee them.

Puis Salomon envoya ce message à Huram, roi de Tyr : " Agis comme tu l' as fait envers mon père David en lui envoyant des cèdres pour se bâtir une maison où il résiderait.

And Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, As thou didst deal with David my father, and didst send him cedars to build him an house to dwell therein, even so deal with me.

Fa indro aho manangana trano ho an' ny anaran' ny Tompo Andriamanitro, izay hohamasiniko ho azy, mba handoroana zava-manitra tsara fofona eo anatrehany, hasiana ny mofo apetraka tsy tapaka, hanolorana ny sorona doran' ny maraina sy ny hariva, sy amin' ny sabata, ny voalohan' ny volana, ny fetin' ny Tompo Andriamanitray, araka ny lalàna voadidy harahin' Israely mandrakizay.

Or voici que je bâtis une maison au nom de Yahvé mon Dieu pour reconnaître sa sainteté, brûler devant lui de l' encens parfumé, avoir en permanence des pains rangés, offrir des holocaustes le matin, le soir, aux sabbats, aux néoménies et aux solennités de Yahvé notre Dieu; et cela pour toujours en Israël.

Behold, I build an house to the name of the Lord my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the Lord our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel.

And the house which I build is great: for great is our God above all gods.

Qui serait en mesure de lui bâtir une maison quand les cieux et les cieux des cieux ne le peuvent contenir ? Et moi, qui suis-je pour lui bâtir une maison, si ce n' est pour que les fumées montent devant lui ?

But who is able to build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn sacrifice before him?

Koa ankehitriny aho aniraho lehilahy anankiray miasa volamena amam-bolafotsy, sy varahina amam-by, jaky mena, lamba mena antitra sy jaky ary mahay sarin-javatra sokirina, hiara-miasa amin' ireo olo-mahay zavatra izay atý amiko atý Jodà sy Jerosalema, efa nomanin' i Davida raiko.

Envoie-moi maintenant un homme habile à travailler l' or, l' argent, le bronze, le fer, l'écarlate, le cramoisi et la pourpre violette, et connaissant l' art de la gravure; il travaillera avec les artisans qui sont près de moi dans Juda et à Jérusalem, eux que mon père David a mis à ma disposition.

Send me now therefore a man cunning to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, and in purple, and crimson, and blue, and that can skill to grave with the cunning men that are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father did provide.

Envoie-moi du Liban des troncs de cèdre, de genévrier et d' algummim, car je sais que tes serviteurs savent abattre les arbres du Liban. Mes serviteurs travailleront avec les tiens.

Send me also cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees, out of Lebanon: for I know that thy servants can skill to cut timber in Lebanon; and, behold, my servants shall be with thy servants,

mba hamonona hazo betsaka ho ahy, fa ho lehibe sy tsara higagana ny trano hataoko.

Ils me prépareront du bois en quantité, car la maison que je veux bâtir sera d' une grandeur étonnante.

Even to prepare me timber in abundance: for the house which I am about to build shall be wonderful great.

Ary indro fa izao no homeko ho sakafon' ny mpanomponao mikapa hazo, izay hikapa ny hazo: varimbazaha roa alina kora, orja roa alina kora, divay roa alina bata, diloilo roa alina bata.

And, behold, I will give to thy servants, the hewers that cut timber, twenty thousand measures of beaten wheat, and twenty thousand measures of barley, and twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.

Huram, roi de Tyr, répondit par une lettre qu' il envoya à Salomon : " C' est parce qu' il aime son peuple que Yahvé t' en a fait le roi. "

Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, Because the Lord hath loved his people, he hath made thee king over them.

Ary hoy Hirama: Isaorana anie Iaveh Andriamanitr' Israely izay nanao ny lanitra sy ny tany, noho ny nanomezany an' i Davida zanaka hendry, malina, mazava saina, izay hanao trano ho an' ny Tompo ary trano-mpanjaka ho an' ny tenany.

Puis il ajouta : " Béni soit Yahvé le Dieu d' Israël! Il a fait les cieux et la terre, il a donné au roi David un fils sage, sensé et intelligent qui va bâtir une maison pour Yahvé et une autre pour y régner lui-même.

Huram said moreover, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who hath given to David the king a wise son, endued with prudence and understanding, that might build an house for the Lord, and an house for his kingdom.

And now I have sent a cunning man, endued with understanding, of Huram my father' s,

Now therefore the wheat, and the barley, the oil, and the wine, which my lord hath spoken of, let him send unto his servants:

And we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as thou shalt need: and we will bring it to thee in floats by sea to Joppa; and thou shalt carry it up to Jerusalem.
