Isa / Iz 31:1

Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!

Loza ho an' ireo izay midina hitady vonjy any Ejipta; miantehitra amin' ny soavaly, ary mitoky amin' ny kalesy, noho ny hamaroan' ireny, sy amin' ny mpitaingin-tsoavaly, noho izy matanjaka; nefa ilay Masin' Israely tsy mba andrandrainy; ary Iaveh tsy tadiaviny.

Malheur à ceux qui descendent en Égypte pour y chercher du secours. Ils comptent sur les chevaux, ils mettent leur confiance dans les chars, car ils sont nombreux, et dans les cavaliers, car ils sont très forts. Ils ne se sont pas tournés vers le Saint d' Israël, ils n' ont pas consulté Yahvé.

Isa / Iz 31:2

Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.

Izy anefa dia hendry; mahatonga loza, tsy mitsoa-teny, hitsangan-kamely ny ankohonan' ny ratsy fanahy, ary handà ny fanampiana avy amin' izay manao ny tsy marina.

Pourtant il est sage, lui aussi, et peut faire venir le malheur, il n' a jamais manqué à sa parole. Il se lèvera contre l' engeance des méchants, contre la protection des malfaisants.

Isa / Iz 31:3

Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the Lord shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.

Ny Ejipsiana dia olombelona ihany, fa tsy Andriamanitra; ny soavaliny dia nofo, fa tsy fanahy; dia haninji-tànana Iaveh, ka ho tafintohina izay manampy, ho potraka izay hampiana, ary hiara-devona avokoa izy roa tonta.

L'Égyptien est un homme et non un dieu, ses chevaux sont chair et non esprit; Yahvé étendra la main : le protecteur trébuchera, le protégé tombera, tous ensemble ils périront.

Isa / Iz 31:4

For thus hath the Lord spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the Lord of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.

Fa izao no nolazain' ny Tompo tamiko: Toy ny fieronan' ny liona sy ny liona tanora amin' ny rembiny, raha mivory hanohitra azy ny mpiandry ondry maro be, ka tsy resin-tahotra izay horakorak' izy ireo, na manahy izay hamaroany akory; toy izany koa no hidinan' ny Tompon' ny tafika mba hiady, eo an-tendrombohitra Siona sy eo amin' ny havoany.

Car ainsi m' a parlé Yahvé : Comme gronde le lion, le lionceau après sa proie, quand on fait appel contre lui à l' ensemble des bergers, sans qu' il se laisse terroriser par leurs cris ni troubler par leur fracas, ainsi descendra Yahvé Sabaot pour guerroyer sur le mont Sion, sur sa colline.

Isa / Iz 31:5

As birds flying, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.

Tahaka ny vorona mamelatr' elatra hanomba ny zanany, no hiarovan' ny Tompon' ny tafika an' i Jerosalema; hiaro izy sy hamonjy, ary handalo sy hanafaka.

Comme des oiseaux qui volent, ainsi Yahvé Sabaot protégera Jérusalem; par sa protection il la sauvera, par son soutien il la délivrera.

Isa / Iz 31:6

Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.

Koa miverena re ho amin' ilay efa nihatahanareo fatratra, ry zanak' Israely.

Revenez à celui qu' ont si profondément trahi les enfants d' Israël.

Isa / Iz 31:7

For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.

Fa amin' izany andro izany ny olona, samy hanary ny sampy volafotsy aman-tsampy volamenany avy izay nataon' ny tànanareo hanotana.

Car en ce jour-là, chacun rejettera ses faux dieux d' argent et ses faux dieux d' or, qu' ont fabriqués pour vous vos mains pécheresses.

Isa / Iz 31:8

Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.

Ary Asora ho lavon-tsabatra, nefa tsy sabatr' olombelona; sabatra izay tsy sabatr' olombelona no handevonana azy; handositra eo anoloan' ny sabatra izy, ary ny zatovony hampandoavina hetra.

Assur tombera par l'épée, non celle d' un homme, il sera dévoré par l'épée, non celle d' un mortel. Il s' enfuira devant l'épée, et ses jeunes gens seront asservis.

Isa / Iz 31:9

And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the Lord, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.

Ny vatolampiny handositra aman-tahotra; ary ny andriandahiny mangovitra handao ny faneva, - teny ton' ny Tompo - izay manana ny afony ao Siona, sy ny fatam-pandoroany ao Jerosalema.

Dans sa terreur il abandonnera son rocher, et ses chefs apeurés déserteront l'étendard. Oracle de Yahvé dont le feu est à Sion et la fournaise à Jérusalem.
