1Tm 3:1

This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.

Tena marina izao teny izao: raha misy maniry ny raharahan' ny Pretra, dia maniry raharaha tsara indrindra izy.

Elle est sûre cette parole : celui qui aspire à la charge d'épiscope désire une noble fonction.

1Tm 3:2

A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

Koa ny mpitandrina dia tsy maintsy ho tsy manan-tsiny, manam-bady tokana, mahonon-tena, hendry, tia filaminana, mampiantrano vahiny, mahay mampianatra,

Koa ny Pretra dia tsy maintsy ho tsy manan-tsiny, tsy nanambady afa-tsy indray mandeha monja, mahonon-tena, hendry, maotona sy mendrimendrika, mampiantrano vahiny, mahay mampianatra,

Aussi faut-il que l'épiscope soit irréprochable, mari d' une seule femme, qu' il soit sobre, pondéré, courtois, hospitalier, apte à l' enseignement,

1Tm 3:3

Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

ni buveur ni batailleur, mais bienveillant, ennemi des chicanes, détaché de l' argent,

1Tm 3:4

One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;

manapaka tsara ny ankohonany, mampanaiky ny zanany amin' ny fahamaotinana tsara

mahay mitondra ny ankohonany, sy mampanaiky tsara ny zanany amim-pahamaotonana lavorary;

sachant bien gouverner sa propre maison et tenir ses enfants dans la soumission d' une manière parfaitement digne.

1Tm 3:5

(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

(fa raha misy olona tsy mahay mitondra ny ankohonany, hataony ahoana no fitandrina ny fiangonan' Andriamanitra?),

fa raha misy tsy mahay mitondra ny ankohonany, hataony ahoana no fitondra ny Eglizin' Andriamanitra?

Car celui qui ne sait pas gouverner sa propre maison, comment pourrait-il prendre soin de l'Église de Dieu ?

1Tm 3:6

Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

tsy izay zazavao amin' ny fivavahana, fandrao hieboebo foana izy ka ho latsaka amin' ny fahamelohan' ny devoly.

Tsy zazavao amin' ny fivavahana, fandrao dia mieboebo foana ka latsaka amin' ny fanamelohana nanjò ny demony.

Que ce ne soit pas un converti de fraîche date, de peur que, l' orgueil lui tournant la tête, il ne vienne à encourir la même condamnation que le diable.

1Tm 3:7

Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

Ary tsy maintsy ho olona tsara laza amin' ny any ivelany koa, fandrao dia afa-baraka sy voan' ny fandriky ny demony.

Il faut en outre que ceux du dehors rendent de lui un bon témoignage, de peur qu' il ne tombe dans l' opprobre et dans les filets du diable.

1Tm 3:8

Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;

Toy izany koa ny Diakra, dia aoka ho olona maotona, tsy miroa teny, tsy lian-divay, tsy tia harena foana,

Les diacres, eux aussi, seront des hommes dignes, n' ayant qu' une parole, modérés dans l' usage du vin, fuyant les profits déshonnêtes.

1Tm 3:9

Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

mitandrina tsara ny zava-miafina ny amin' ny finoana amin' ny fieritreretana madio.

mitana ny misterin' ny finoana amim-pieritreretana madio;

Qu' ils gardent le mystère de la foi dans une conscience pure.

1Tm 3:10

And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.

Ary aoka hizahan-toetra ireo aloha, dia vao hanao ny asan' ny diakona izy, raha tsy manan-tsiny.

On commencera par les mettre à l'épreuve, et ensuite, si on n' a rien à leur reprocher, on les admettra aux fonctions de diacres.

1Tm 3:11

Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.

Ny vehivavy koa ho toy izany ihany: maotona, tsy mpanendrikendrika, mahonon-tena, mahatoky amin' ny zavatra rehetra.

Toy izany koa ny vadiny, dia aoka ho olona manaja tena, tsy mpifosa, mahonon-tena, mahatoky amin' ny zavatra rehetra.

Que pareillement les femmes soient dignes, point médisantes, sobres, fidèles en tout.

1Tm 3:12

Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.

Aoka ny diakona samy hanam-bady tokana sady hanapaka tsara ny zanany sy ny ankohonany.

Aoka ny Diakra ho olona tsy nanambady afa-tsy indray mandeha, sy mitondra tsara ny zanany mbamin' ny ankohonany.

Les diacres doivent être maris d' une seule femme, savoir bien gouverner leurs enfants et leur propre maison.

1Tm 3:13

For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Fa izay efa mahavatra tsara ny asan' ny diakona dia mahazo toerana tsara ho an' ny tenany sy fahasahiana be amin' ny finoana izay ao amin' i Kristy Jesosy.

Fa izay mahatontosa tsara ny raharahany, dia mahazo laharana mihaja ho an' ny tenany, sy fahatokiana lehibe amin' ny finoana izay ao amin' ny Kristy Jeso.

Ceux qui remplissent bien leurs fonctions s' acquièrent un rang honorable et une ferme assurance en la foi au Christ Jésus.

1Tm 3:14

These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:

Izany zavatra izany dia soratako aminao, na dia manantena hankatý aminao faingana aza aho;

Manoratra izany aminao aho, na dia manantena hankaty aminao faingana aza,

En t'écrivant cela, j' espère te rejoindre bientôt.

1Tm 3:15

But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

fa raha tratra ela aho, dia ny hahafantaranao izay fitondran-tena mety hatao ao an-tranon' Andriamanitra, dia ny fiangonan' Andriamanitra velona, sady andry sy fiorenan' ny fahamarinana.

satria amin' izay, raha tàhiny tratra ela aho, dia misy hahafantaranao izay fitondran-tena tsy maintsy ataonao ao amin' ny ankohonan' Andriamanitra, dia ny Eglizin' Andriamanitra velona, izay andry sy fiorenan' ny marina.

Si toutefois je tardais, il faut que tu saches comment te comporter dans la maison de Dieu - je veux dire l'Église du Dieu vivant - : colonne et support de la vérité.

1Tm 3:16

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Ary iaraha-manaiky mihitsy fa lehibe ny zava-miafina ny amin' ny toe-panahy araka an' Andriamanitra, dia Ilay naseho teo amin' ny nofo, nohamarinina tao amin' ny Fanahy; hitan' ny anjely, notorina tany amin' ny jentilisa, ninoana teny amin' izao tontolo izao, nakarina tamin' ny voninahitra.

Ary tsy azo lavina, fa lehibe tokoa ny mistery fototry ny fivavahana, dia ilay naseho teo amin' ny nofo, nohamarinina tao amin' ny Fanahy, niseho tamin' ny anjely, notorina tany amin' ny jentily, ninoana tamin' izao tontolo izao, ary nakarina tamim-boninahitra.

Oui, c' est incontestablement un grand mystère que celui de la piété : Il a été manifesté dans la chair, justifié dans l' Esprit, vu des anges, proclamé chez les païens, cru dans le monde, enlevé dans la gloire.
