1Tm 4:2

Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

ces gens-là interdisent le mariage et l' usage d' aliments que Dieu a créés pour être pris avec action de grâces par les croyants et ceux qui ont la connaissance de la vérité.

1Tm 4:4

For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

Fa ny zavatra rehetra nataon' Andriamanitra dia tsara avokoa, ka tsy misy tokony holavina, raha raisina amin' ny fisaorana,

Tsara avokoa anefa ny zavatra nataon' Andriamanitra, ka tsy misy tokony hatao fady, rahefa raisina amim-pisaorana koa,

Car tout ce que Dieu a créé est bon et aucun aliment n' est à proscrire, si on le prend avec action de grâces :

1Tm 4:5

For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

satria hamasinin' ny tenin' Andriamanitra sy ny fivavahana izany.

satria mahamasina ny zavatra rehetra ny tenin' Andriamanitra sy ny fivavahana.

la parole de Dieu et la prière le sanctifient.

1Tm 4:6

If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

Raha manoro hevitra ny rahalahy ny amin' izany zavatra izany ianao, dia ho mpanompo tsara an' i Kristy Jesosy, tezaina amin' ny tenin' ny finoana sy ny fampianarana tsara izay efa narahinao.

Izany no ampianaro ny rahalahy, dia ho mpandraharaha tsaran' ny Kristy Jeso hianao, mivelona amin' ny teny finoana mbamin' ny fampianarana tsara efa narahinao.

Si tu exposes cela aux frères, tu seras un bon serviteur du Christ Jésus, nourri des enseignements de la foi et de la bonne doctrine dont tu t' es toujours montré le disciple fidèle.

1Tm 4:7

But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.

Fa ny anganongano ratsy fanaom-bavy antitra dia lavo, ka mampiasà ny tenanao ho amin' ny toe-panahy araka an' Andriamanitra.

Fa ireny anganongano foana fanaom-bavy antitra ireny dia lavo; ary mampiasà ny tenanao amin' ny fivavahana.

Quant aux fables profanes, racontars de vieilles femmes, rejette-les. Exerce-toi à la piété.

1Tm 4:8

For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Fa mahasoa kely ihany ny fampiasana ny tena; fa ny toe-panahy araka an' Andriamanitra no mahasoa amin' ny zavatra rehetra ka manana ny teny fikasana ny amin' ny fiainana ankehitriny sy ny ho avy koa.

Satria ny asa ara-batana dia mahasoa kely foana, fa ny fivavahana no mahasoa amin' ny zavatra rehetra, izy no manana ny teny fampanantenana, na amin' ny fiainana ankehitriny, na amin' ny fiainana ho avy.

Les exercices corporels, eux, ne servent pas à grand-chose : la piété au contraire est utile à tout, car elle a la promesse de la vie, de la vie présente comme de la vie future.

1Tm 4:9

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

Mahatoky izao teny izao ka tokony hekena amin' ny fankasitrahana rehetra.

Elle est sûre cette parole et digne d' une entière créance.

1Tm 4:10

For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

Fa izany no ikelezanay aina sy iezahanay, satria izahay manantena an' Andriamanitra velona, Izay Mpamonjy ny olona rehetra, indrindra fa izay mino.

fa izany indrindra no ikelezanay aina sy iadianay, dia noho izahay manantena an' Andriamanitra velona, Mpamonjy ny olombelona rehetra, indrindra fa ny mpino.

Si en effet nous peinons et combattons, c' est que nous avons mis notre espérance dans le Dieu vivant, le Sauveur de tous les hommes, des croyants surtout.

1Tm 4:11

These things command and teach.

Izany zavatra izany no andidio sy ampianaro.

Izany àry no zavatra handidianao sy hampianarinao.

Tel doit être l' objet de tes prescriptions et de ton enseignement.

1Tm 4:12

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Aoka tsy hisy olona hanao tsinontsinona anao noho ny hatanoranao; fa aoka ho tonga fianarana ho an' ny mino ianao amin' ny fiteny, amin' ny fitondran-tena, amin' ny fitiavana, amin' ny finoana, amin' ny fahadiovana.

Aoka tsy hisy olona hanamavo anao noho ny fahatanoranao, fa aoka ho fakan-tahaka ho an' ny mpino hianao amin' ny teny, amin' ny fitondran-tena, amin' ny fitiavana, amin' ny finoana, ary amin' ny fahadiovana.

Que personne ne méprise ton jeune âge. Au contraire, montre-toi un modèle pour les croyants, par la parole, la conduite, la charité, la foi, la pureté.

1Tm 4:13

Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

Mandra-pihaviko tandremo ny famakian-teny, ny fananarana, ny fampianarana.

Mandra-pihaviko, milozòha amin' ny famakiam-boky sy fananarana ary fampianarana.

En attendant que je vienne, consacre-toi à la lecture, à l' exhortation, à l' enseignement.

1Tm 4:14

Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

Ne néglige pas le don spirituel qui est en toi, qui t' a été conféré par une intervention prophétique accompagnée de l' imposition des mains du collège des presbytres.

1Tm 4:15

Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

Diniho izany zavatra izany, ary araiketo amin' izany ny tenanao manontolo, mba hiharihary amin' ny olona ny fandrosoanao.

Prends cela à coeur. Sois-y tout entier, afin que tes progrès soient manifestes à tous.

1Tm 4:16

Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Tandremo ny tenanao sy ny fampianaranao, ka mahareta amin' izany; fa raha manao izany ianao, dia hamonjy ny tenanao sy izay mihaino anao.

Veille sur ta personne et sur ton enseignement ; persévère en ces dispositions. Agissant ainsi, tu te sauveras, toi et ceux qui t'écoutent.
